Mission requirements
Eligibility:
You must be a Member of L’Oréalistar (i.e. you must meet the eligibility requirements set out in the L’Oréalistar Terms and Conditions).
How to Participate:
You must complete the following Mission:
○ Single brand/product promotion: We want you to post a video to your Instagram and TikTok feed to share your favourite product from the International Women’s Day PR Mailer & what you love about it! We'd love to hear which product you enjoy using the most and why, describe the texture or talk about the formula and of course the results. Don’t forget to use the hashtags #AD, #L'Oréal ParisUK AND #LorealistarUK.
By Posting a video on your TikTok and Instagram account and using the hashtags described above you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
POINTS
If you complete the Mission by the Mission End Date, and this is subsequently not invalidated by the Promoter pursuant to the L’Oréalistar Terms and Conditions you will be awarded with 25 of Community Points to your L’Oréalistar user account.
DELIVERY
Points Delivery: Points will be awarded automatically on a provisional basis once you post a Mission submission and caption such submission with the hashtag(s) set out above. However, we reserve the right to review and invalidate your Mission submission if at our absolute discretion we deem that it does not comply with these Terms and Conditions or the L’Oréalistar Terms and Conditions. If your Mission submission is not invalidated within 30 days of you posting your Mission submission, your provisional points will be upgraded to Points.
General Terms and Conditions
Mission participation and eligibility
The Mission must be completed between the Mission Open Date and the Mission Closing Date.
The Mission is optional, and you are under no obligation to take part in it.
The Mission is free to participate in and no purchase is necessary.
Incomplete, illegal, misdirected or late Mission submissions will not be valid. Proof of complying with the How to Participate Requirements will not be accepted as proof of receipt or participation. Promoter is not responsible for Mission submissions lost, damaged or delayed due to technical or connectivity or other problems.
Only one Mission submission per person. Multiple submissions made by the same person from various email, social media or other accounts or from the same IP address will not be valid.
Any Mission submissions which do not comply with the How to Participate Requirements or the L’Oréalistar Terms and Conditions and associated Community Guidelines and Content Standards, or which contain any third party intellectual property without prior informed consent from the rights holder, or which violates or infringes another’s rights, including but not limited to privacy, publicity, or which contain any abusive, inappropriate, offensive or obscene language or imagery will be disqualified. Examples of language/images considered to be inappropriate, offensive or obscene, include (but are not limited to) any message/image which contains: (a) swearing; (b) comments or actions which appear to be discriminatory of any person, company or group of individuals, for example comments of a racist, sexist or homophobic nature; (c) comments or actions which promote bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age (d) sexual innuendo, sexual language or sexual acts, actions or gestures; (e) promoting any illegal unlawful activity such as drug use; (f) content which is tortious, defamatory, slanderous or libellous; (g) any message that appears to be an advertisement or solicitation to buy or promote or endorse any services, products or web links of third parties not affiliated with the Promoter; and (h) any materials (whether written or visual) that directly or indirectly relate to Promoter’s competitor brands or that show any intention of promoting any brand other than Promoter brand.
If the Mission requires participants to publish content publicly (not just on the L’Oréalistar site located at https://uk.lorealistar.com) (the "L’Oréalistar Site"), the Mission submission must be adequately labelled as a marketing communication in compliance with the Community Terms and Conditions and associated Community Guidelines and Content Standards.
The Promoter reserves the right to require participants to prove that they are eligible to participate in the Mission and/or to carry out its own investigations (either itself or through a third party acting on its behalf) to verify that participants have satisfied the Eligibility and How to Participate requirements. If a participant or Mission submission is found to be ineligible, the Promoter reserves the right to deduct any Community Points already awarded.
Points fulfilment and disqualification
We may change, add or amend the Missions and/or how many Points can be earned for any Mission not yet completed, at our sole discretion by amending the information in the "My Missions" section of your user account.
Points are as stated, they are not transferable and there are no alternative prizes or cash substitutes.
A participant forfeits their Points if a Mission submission is invalid or a participant is disqualified or in breach of these Terms and Conditions or the L’Oréalistar Terms and Conditions.
Promoter reserves the right to disqualify a participant that, in its absolute discretion, could bring the Promoter into disrepute.
Promoter shall disqualify any Mission submissions that have failed to abide by and/or are in breach of these Terms and Conditions or the L’Oréalistar Terms and Conditions.
Promotional Activity relating to the Mission
By participating in the Mission, all participants agree to participate in any promotional activity relating to the Mission, which may include Mission content, voice, image and name for publicity purposes (in any media, print or online, including any websites, social media sites or third party retailer websites) and in advertising, marketing or promotional material (whether or not related to the Mission) free of charge without additional compensation or prior notice. Promoter may modify any Mission content to fit in context with the relevant usage, whilst maintaining its original sentiment.
Personal Information
All personal details and/or information given either in the Mission process or otherwise must be truthful, accurate and in no way misleading. Promoter reserves the right to disqualify participants if they have supplied untruthful, inaccurate or misleading personal details and/or information.
Any personal information that participants share with the Promoter (including name, address, email, social media profile, or other data) will be kept secure and only used in line with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy and these Terms and Conditions. By participating in the Mission, participants acknowledge that their information may be used by the Promoter and its suppliers to administer the Mission.
Use of Mission Content
By participating in a Mission, a participant:
confirms they have the right to make available their content as is required by the Mission How to Participate Requirements and the L’Oréalistar Terms and Conditions, including the express consent of anyone else who features in their Mission submission for the Promoter to use their personal data;
confirms their Mission submission does not infringe any third party intellectual property rights; and
grants the Promoter a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, fully sub-licensable and transferable right and license to use, copy, modify, delete in its entirety, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from and distribute their Mission submission and any other material (whether visual, oral or written) generated for the purposes of the Mission for any legitimate business reason that the Promoter sees fit, including for marketing, business development and internal administrative purposes, and/or to incorporate the Mission submission together with the participant's username/name and location into any form, medium or technology, including (but not limited to):
on all electronic, IT, digital, multimedia and internet media including the L’Oréalistar Site, the Promoter's website(s) or other websites of companies within our group of companies, social media pages and other online presences;
on all advertising media both online and offline;
on the Promoter's internal communications within our group of companies;
for corporate, financial communication and public relations communications and disclosures; and
on retailer-and client-facing media.
Limitation of Liability
Neither the Promoter nor agencies nor suppliers involved in the Mission may be liable to the participants, whether arising from tort including negligence, breach of contract or otherwise or for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered whatsoever as a result of or relating to participation in the Mission or the Points unless you suffer personal injury or death as a result of the Promoter's negligence. No compensation for loss of earnings will be paid by the Promoter for participation in any aspect of the Mission.
Social Media Platform Specific Terms
By participating in the Mission, participants will be deemed to be bound by and have accepted these Terms and Conditions; the Instagram Terms of Use, Instagram Privacy Policy, Meta Platform Terms TikTok Terms of Service and TikTok Privacy Policy.
Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any Mission submissions that have failed to abide by and/or are in breach of any of these agreements.
The Mission is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Tik Tok or Instagram.
You are providing your information to the Promoter and not to Tik Tok or Instagram.
The information you provide will only be used as stated in these Terms and Conditions. By participating in the Mission, participants will be deemed to have released TikTok and Instagram from any and all liability arising from their participation in the Mission or out of, pursuant to, or as a result of the carrying out of the Mission.
General Terms
Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Promoter reserves the right in its absolute discretion to amend or waive any of these Terms and Conditions, or suspend or cancel the Mission at any stage, in the event of circumstances that are unforeseen or beyond its reasonable control (including suspected or actual fraudulent or misleading practices or other breaches of these Terms and Conditions).
English law applies and the English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any proceedings in connection with the Mission.
